The Exterior Phase of an Empowerment Home Inspection begins with an examination of the various Lot Systems that are of concern to the property. An Empowerment Home Inspector will scan the landscape with his keenly trained eyes to identify indications of failed underground utilities, concerns that can threaten the house's integrity and various other conditions that affect the habitability of the property. Significant items of concern such as retaining walls, septic fields, driveways, fences, etc. are examined in vast excess of industry standards.

The Building Perimeter portion of the Exterior Phase is the portion that makes on-site realtors edgy, for and Empowerment Home Inspector will "take too much time" methodically examining absolutely every observable item that affects the structural integrity and safety of the main residence. Commonly, issues of concern along the building exterior are uncovered before they result in costly problems. We also find that sources of many problems which are inside the house before we even walk through the front door!
